The story

Scent is the fastest pathway to the nervous system. It bypasses the thinking brain and lands directly in the limbic system — the part that governs emotion and memory. Which means the smell of your home is not neutral. It is constantly teaching your body what to feel when it walks through the door. I use a diffuser with frankincense and orange in the morning, lavender and cedar in the evening. Not for the aesthetic. For the nervous system reset. You can't control everything about your day. You can control what your home smells like when you come home.
